I haven’t posted in a long time because, to be honest, I was a little burnt out on the project. After getting it running and driving there were a lot of things that were left to be desired and I simply didn’t have it in me to tackle them all. I also acquired some shop space so I’m no longer working out of my garage. It took a lot of time to get everything moved over and set up to make it a functional space but it’s such better place to work on cars.
I’ve addressed a lot of the small nagging things that I was unhappy with, for instance, reworking the throttle cable bracket for smoother and more linear engagement, and re-routing some oil lines. but most of them weren’t interesting enough to post about. I need to get the gauges working along all the systems (ABS, DSC, power steering etc) that take input from the CANBus network. This has been a daunting prospect for a while but I have a few other little projects to work on as well so hopefully you’ll be seeing more content soon.
Looking forward to putting some serious miles on this thing and getting it back on the track!
